SERVER
UPTIME & LOADS
Length of server uptime is
not an indication of reliability or performance. Servers are often rebooted as part
of a maintenance schedule. Rebooting periodically is a common maintenance
practice.
These uptime stats are designed to generally let you know if your
server is online and to provide general performance and load level
indications.
Temporary
loads of 2.5 - 10.0 are not un-common when certain scripts are
running on the server or during peak usage times. Higher
loads trigger alerts that are investigated. Most server load
issues are caused by customer scripts that are misconfigured or used
too
aggressively for a shared server. Recent increased interest
in serving videos has also created a high demand on server resources.
Be a good server neighbor and make sure your scripts are updated,
configured
correctly
and
do not overuse server resources. Make sure your video files are as
small as possible and if you plan on serving a large volume of videos
to many visitors, ask us about dedicated server options.
Most loads clear in 15
- 20 minutes.

Please Note: Customers are welcome to
submit comments, reports or observations about server issues

they feel the need,

support staff is aware of it
immediately
and working on the problem.
